NBTEL TAKES EXPRESS SERVICE ANOTHER STEP

NBTel of New Brunswick added a new component to its NBTel Express service this week. Customers can now check their phone bills, review monthly recurring charges or long-distance calls, as well as add and remove services over the Internet on NBTel's Web site. The can also change Call Answer rings and browse the company's product and service catalogue. The service is being promoted using billing inserts done by Bailey's Backroom Boys of Toronto. The NBTel Express service was launched in 1993 on the touch tone phone. In 1996, the service was enhanced with text prompts on the Vista 350 screen phone.
