NESTLE CAPITALIZES OF SPECIALTY COFFEE MARKET

Nestle Canada of Toronto is taking advantage of the popularity of specialty coffee again. The company will relaunch its Nescafe brand of specialty coffee next month to the national market. The coffee comes in four flavors, Cappuccino and Mocha, which were introduced in 1992, and new flavors: French Vanilla and French Vanilla Decaf. The coffee has also been repackaged. It is now available in a canister which features a "fresh lock" tab. In the past, the product was packaged in boxes with sachets of individual servings. TV and magazine advertising created by McLaren McCann of Toronto supports the launch of the coffees. The ads are geared to women aged 22 to 39. Sampling is also being used.
