ADOBE SIMPLIFIES PHOTO SOFTWARE

Adobe Systems Inc. of San Jose, California launched new photo software to the North American market this week that the company says requires nothing more than a point-and-click skill level from the end user. Called PhotoDeluxe 2.0, the software features red-eye removal, an edge-detection tool for cutting and tracing and a Clone tool which removes, covers and duplicates photo elements. Activities such as creating greeting cards, sports cards, album pages and gift tags take less than six steps. PhotoDeluxe 2.0 can be used with Windows 95 and Macintosh platforms. In Canada, Adobe promotes its products using co-op ads with retailers.
