HONDA GETS ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY

Toronto-based Honda Canada says it will be the first carmaker to offer gasoline-powered cars with low emission technology. The company will introduce its 1998 Honda Civic and Honda Accord in September featuring the technology. Honda says the technology can reduce exhaust emission by about 70% from the new Canadian National Standards. The vehicles will have a more precise air-fuel management control system which provides combustion during the engine startup period. They will also be equipped with a single, high efficiency catalytic converter. Honda launched a teaser print campaign for the cars this week. It was created by Ambrose, Carr, Linton, Carroll of Toronto. The vehicles will be launched in the U.S. in September as well.
