LOOK TV RECEIVES OK

Look TV of Toronto says it will launch its Multipoint Distribution System TV service in Southern Ontario in nine months. The company was awarded an MDS licence from the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission last week. The licence covers the entire Toronto area and the Golden Horsehoe region. In an recent interview, Look TV said it will begin looking for an agency in the fall. Optimum Public Relations of Toronto is doing PR. Look TV says MDS will benefit rural dwellers who don't currently have access to cable TV service. To access Look TV, consumers need a small antenna outside their home and a TV set-top box. The company will eventually offer 150 channels, as well as interactive broadcasting, Internet access and multimedia services. Look TV is a division of Teleglobe Inc.
