GOVERNMENT POOL TO BE ANNOUNCED LATER THIS WEEK
By Adnews Staff
The pool has been filled but the Advertising Review Board is waiting until later this week to announce whose jumped in. The ARB has decided which agencies will be in the Ontario Government's pool of ad and PR agencies. It is expected that there will be a pool of four ad agencies and four PR firms that will handle advertising for many government departments. The government decided to use a pool of agencies because ad budgets are shrinking and short timelines make it difficult for departments to go through the review process. Thirteen agencies were short listed for the advertising pool and eight were competing to be in the PR pool. Major government departments, such as Foodland Ontario, will continue using the regular review process.
