ELVIS TO BE SIGHTED IN ONTARIO THIS WEEKEND

The Tribute & Convention Organization of Collingwood, Ont. is trying to get people in the U.S. and Southern Ontario all shook up over the third annual Elvis Tribute & Convention being held in Collingwood from July 25 to 28. The event is being promoted using radio, TV and newspaper ads in areas including Southern Ontario, Ohio, New York and Michigan. The campaign was created in-house. Molson Breweries is the title sponsor of the event, promoting its Molson Golden brand of beer. It is expected that over 80,000 Elvis fans will attend the event and close to 100 Elvises are expected to be on hand to sing, dance and gyrate. A team of parachuting Elvises called the E-Team will perform, as will impersonators from all over the world, including the Gracelanders, a troupe of nine female Kings. "Elvis Priestly," an ordained minister who is also an Elvis impersonator, will perform a mass retaking of wedding vows for all married people in attendance.
