IBM DROPS THE PRICES ON THINKPADS

U.S.-based International Business Machines Corp. has slashed the prices of its Thinkpad notebook computers by up to 25% in North America. Prices on the ThinkPad 380 series of computers, the newest Thinkpad on the market, have been reduced by up to 18%, while the price of a ThinkPad 560 model has dropped 22%. Purchasers of the ThinkPad 760 line will see a 22% savings. In Canada, the price reductions are being promoted in a print campaign created by Ogilvy & Mather and FCB Canada, both of Toronto.
