CANADIAN AIRLINES GOES ELECTRONIC

Calgary-based Canadian Airlines has given its Canadian Plus loyalty program members a new way of booking a flight. The airline has introduced an on-line account management and reservations software program that enables customers to view their current Canadian Plus account information and make pricing queries, as well as to book flights, hotels and rental cars. The software was tested for eight weeks by 100 Canadian Plus members. Print and on-line advertising for the software supports the launch. The print ads was created by Ogilvy & Mather's Calgary office, while media buying was done by Gee, Jeffery & Partners Advertising of Toronto. Tiger Media of Calgary handled the on-line ads.
