COHN & WOLFE SNAGS ANOTHER TECH ACCOUNT

Toronto-based Informix Software Canada handed its Canadian PR business to Cohn & Wolfe of Toronto earlier this month. The agency was chosen after a competition with two other Toronto agencies: National Public Relations and High Road Communications. Cohn & Wolfe won the business because of its "deep understanding of the high-technology sector and their refreshing perspective on the public relations process," marketing communications director Nancy Altilia says in a release. The incumbent on the business was The Communications Group of Toronto. Informix does little advertising in Canada, but when it does it uses U.S. creative developed by Young & Rubicam of New York. Informix markets database technology.
