EATON'S HIRES NEW CHIEF

Toronto-based T. Eaton Co. has hired a new president and CEO to save itself from its troubles. Hudson's Bay Company president and CEO George Kosich has moved over to Eaton's. Kosich was with Hudson's Bay for 37 years. He was named president in 1987 and CEO in 1990. The move marks the first time a member of the Eaton family has not been at the helm of the company. Eaton's filed for bankruptcy protection in February. It is currently restructuring its business and has sold its stake in the Toronto Eaton Centre.
