U.S. STUDENTS ARE WALKING ALL OVER ANTI-SMOKING MESSAGE
By Adnews Staff
The U.S. government is taking its anti-smoking message right to students to reduce the rate of smoking among children. The government launched a pilot program this week in which floor tiles have been placed in school hallways that deliver anti-smoking messages with pop-out colors and magazine quality images. Artwork for the tiles came from a variety of sources including work designed by the students and the American Medical Association. The pilot program is running in Millis, Massachusetts. Discussions are also under way to bring the floor tiles to Arizona, Virginia, California and Oregon. The floor tiles are produced by Market Media Inc. of North Dighton, Massachusetts.
