NEC TAKES THE HIGH ROAD
By Adnews Staff
NEC Technologies Canada of Mississauga, Ont. has recently hired High Road Communications of Toronto as its Canadian PR agency. The agency was hired after a competition with four other agencies. "High Road stood head-and-shoulders above the rest in their knowledge of the industry, their creativity and enthusiasum," U.S. public relations corporate director Jan Rasmussen says in a release. The incumbent on the business was Continental Communications of Toronto. The computer company put the account in review because it wasn't satisfied with Continental's commitment or understanding of the account, NEC's Canadian national marketing and sales director told Adnews yesterday. Canadian corporate advertising for NEC is created by Hill, Holiday of Boston. The Cohen Group of Toronto does regional advertising. Over the next several months, NEC plans to launch several new products including LCD projectors, desktop monitors and printers.
