H-P LAUNCHES LOW-END NOTEBOOKS

U.S.-based Hewlett-Packard introduced a new line of notebook computers geared to the budget conscious consumer. Called the OmniBook 2000, the machines feature 133 MHz Intel Pentium processors with or without MMX technology, up to 2GB hard drives and 12.1 inch screens. Docking stations, CD-ROM drives and other accessories are interchangeable between this new line and other high-end H-P notebook computers. In Canada, H-P began promoting its entire notebook line in a print campaign that began a month ago. It was created by Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising of Toronto.
