ULTRAMAR SWITCHES PR AGENCIES

Montreal-based Ultramar Ltee handed its PR account to Pyramid Public Relations late last month. The Montreal agency got the business after Ultramar received presentations from two other agencies. Ultramar put its PR account up for grabs because it had been with the same agency, BLSV Communications of Montreal, for three years and wanted someone to take a fresh approach to the business to see how they should be working, public and government affairs director Louis Forget told Adnews yesterday. Advertising for Ultramar is done by PALM Publicite of Montreal. Ultramar has 1,400 gas stations in Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic provinces.
