ALL-IN-ONE DIRECT MAILING MACHINE HEADS NORTH
By Adnews Staff
U.S.-based Pitney Bowes will bring its all-in-one direct mailing machine to the Canadian market in the third quarter of the year. Called the DocuMatch Integrated Mail System, the machine attaches to a Windows-based computer, creates a laser print out of the direct mail piece, matches it to the advertiser, folds it, puts it in an envelope and seals it. Then it addresses the envelope. DocuMatch will be promoted using direct mail, as well as magazine and newspaper ads created by Mainstay Communications of Toronto. The machine was introduced in the U.S. last November.
