APPLE FOCUSES ADS ON TECHNOLOGY

Apple Canada of Markham, Ont. launched a TV campaign last week in major Canadian markets to increase awareness of the company's technology. The ads are appearing in Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver, and are running in both French and English. The 15-second ads profile the speed and voice recognition features of the PowerBook 3400c, the multimedia authoring capaiblities of the PowerMac 6500 and the cross-platform compatibility of the PowerMac 7300/180. The ads were created by BBDO Canada of Toronto.
