CONDOM MAKER HIRES PR FIRM

Concord, Ont.-based Julius Schmid of Canada handed its PR account to GCI Communications of Toronto earlier this month. The agency was given the business without a review. Julius Schmid marketing director Sonya Agnew has worked with some of the staff members at GCI in the past. The company markets Durex condoms in Canada. The brands are Sheik, Ramses and Titan. Prior to hiring GCI, the company used PR agencies on a project basis. Advertising for Julius Schmid is done by MacLaren McCann of Toronto. A campaign will be launched in the next couple of weeks. London International Group manufactures Durex condoms.
