LCBO TARGETS BEER DRINKERS

The Liquor Control Board of Ontario is trying to get consumers in the mood for beer and barbecues. The organization will launch the Taste the World of Beer month-long promotion later this week at its 569 liquor stores. The promotion will highlight 33 domestic and imported beers from 12 different countries. There will be point-of-purchase displays and a free Taste the World of Beer guide that showcases beer trends, suggests summer BBQ recipes and provides tips on matching beer and food. There will also be an in-store contest in which consumers can win a trip for two to Germany. Selected beer stores will also offer beer tastings. The promotion was created in-house. Strategic Objectives of Toronto is handling PR.
