McDonald's readies grasslands livestream

McDonald’s Canada is preparing an online promotion called “The Grasslands Channel.” On Oct. 4. the fast food chain will conduct a 10-hour livestream on YouTube that will allow viewers to watch footage of the Canadian grasslands from sunrise to sunset. The video will come from the Tapley Farm in Manitoba, a supplier of beef to McDonald’s. The stream will also include a live chat with representatives from McDonald’s Canada, Ducks Unlimited Canada, the Canadian Roundtable for Sustainable Beef, good company Cargill and the Canadian Cattle Association about the importance of grasslands conservation. A recording of the video will later be available on McDonald’s Canada’s YouTube channel.
