Subaru begins tree planting promotion

Automaker Subaru Canada of Mississauga has begun an initiative in collaboration with non-profit organization Leave No Trace Canada by which it will plant 10,000 trees this year. The effort is part of Subaru’s Adventure On program. For each consumer who posts to social media that they have taken the “Leave No Trace Pledge” to be mindful of the environment, the company will fund the planting of a tree.
“We are excited to partner with Leave No Trace Canada and help promote their seven principles,” said Subaru chairman, president and CEO Tomohiro Kubota. “We look forward to challenging Canadians to take the pledge, as we believe these guidelines provide the basis of responsible exploration, mitigating environmental impact.”
