COREL CAR RACE SPONSOR

Ottawa-based graphic design software company Corel Corp. is going to be at the starting gate of this year's Interstate Batteries Great North American Race. The company is sponsoring the start of the long-distance car race, which covers 4,500 miles from in Ottawa on July 1 to Mexico City on July 15. Over 110 cars of pre-Second World War vintage will race a good part of the length of North America. Corel decided to sponsor the race because it wants to make a bigger name for itself in the U.S. The deal includes the sponsorship of a 1941 Chevrolet police cruiser in the race. The vehicles are coming from all over the world. Model years range from 1911 to 1941, and the makes include Marmon, Mercer, Talbot, Delahaye and Stutz.
