The best in newspaper promotions were honored recently at the Canadian Daily Newspaper Association's annual meeting. The awards program recognizes excellence in sales and readership promotions, as well as public relations and community involvement. Top award winners were: The Evening Times Globe of Saint John, N.B., The Montreal Gazette, Truro Daily News, The Windsor Star, The Daily News of Halifax, Kitchener-Waterloo Record, The Guardian of Charlottetown, P.E.I., The Sault Star of Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., The London Free Press, The Toronto Sun, The Daily Mercury of Guelph, Ont., The Toronto Star and Le Droit of Ottawa .
