VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS CHANGES IN WINDOWS SOFTWARE
By Adnews Staff
Good Times Home Video of New York is putting a video on the worldwide market next week that showcases the capabilities of Microsoft's Windows 95 software. It will feature its advances and how it will change the way users interface with their computers. The video stars TV comedians Jennifer Aniston and Matthew Perry from the show "Friends." In the show, Perry and Aniston are anticipating a meeting with Microsoft founder Bill Gates to discuss their pending role in an informational video. In the story, the action is centred in Bill Gates' office. His assistant takes the duo through a humorous virtual tour of the new features of Windows 95. Throughout the video, Microsoft support staff visit the office to introduce new features. They include the ability to name files with up to 250 characters, easy Internet access, simple short-cuts between files, fax software, easy peripheral interfaces, and games such as pinball. In Canada, the video is being distributed by HGV Video Productions of Pickering, Ont. It will be available in computer and retail stores such as Wal-Mart. Canadian advertising will begin in mid-August in retail flyers. Print advertising, created in-house by HGV will begin in the fall. Good Times is also launching a print campaign in the fall, and is relying on some spillover advertising into Canada.
