Arterra debuts new WW Canada wines

Arterra Wines Canada of Mississauga has begun a promotion in collaboration with weight loss company WW Canada. The effort consists of the launch of a new wine called On Point, intended to establish a new category of “better-for-you” wines in Canada, according to the company. This is the first wine created in collaboration with WW Canada, and has a lower point value than traditional wines as measured by the company’s weight-loss system. On Point is available in red and white varieties. One serving includes 90 calories, one gram of sugar and two grams of carbohydrates, and is nine percent alcohol by volume. The product is currently available in Ontario, rolling out to Newfoundland and Labrador in July and British Columbia and Alberta in the fall.

“We know Canadians are seeking variety and wellness-inspired products,” said Andrea Hunt, executive vice-president of marketing at Arterra Wines Canada.  “As such, we are thrilled to be partnering with WW to support consumers and their community. We are excited to introduce a new better-for-you brand, On Point, with two delicious, balanced wines.”
