Charming Taste of Europe begins

A group of European wine producers has begun a new campaign in the US and Canada called “The Charming Taste of Europe.” The effort promotes participating European wines including products from Wines from Abruzzo and Union des Vins doux de Bordeaux, as well as fresh fruits including cherries from Rachi Pieria and kiwis from Kavala, Greece. The campaign is being co-financed by the European Union.

The three-year campaign will consist of a series of initiatives and events aimed at consumers, media outlets and trade professionals. It is intended to educate these audiences about the merits and quality standards of these products. The campaign uses the tagline, “Enjoy it! It’s from Europe.” Elements of the campaign will include sponsorship of the European Film Festival Canada in November and participation in the San Francisco Winter Fancy Food in January. Other compenents will include in-store promotions, seminars, tastings and dinners in large US and Canadian cities. The campaign also includes a website at <http://www.charmingtasteofeurope.eu>, as well as social media content.
