Arterra Wines Canada readies wedding promotion

Arterra Wines Canada is preparing a promotion aimed at couples who have had summer wedding plans disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. On Aug. 1, the company will host what it describes as “minimony” marriage ceremonies at participating wineries in accordance with social distancing recommendations. Each two-hour event will be attended by a maximum of 20 local guests, with others invited to watch via online video. Each event, which will cost $1,999, will include an officiant, a photographer, food and wine.

Participating wineries include Jackson-Triggs Niagara Estate Winery, Inniskillin Niagara Estate Winery and Sandbanks Winery in Ontario and See Ya Later Ranch, Sumac Ridge and Nk'Mip Cellars in British Columbia.

“While traditional wedding plans may have been stifled, we're here to help couples achieve their dreams in a safe, uncomplicated way that is still breathtaking and unforgettable,” said Andrea Hunt, executive vice-president of marketing at Arterra Wines Canada. “These simple yet elegant options at the estates offer a wonderful and memorable backdrop for nuptials, helping brides and grooms tie the knot despite these exceptional times.”
