DOCUMENT COMPANY COMES BACK TO CANADA
By Adnews Staff
Two former Bell & Howell Ltd. Canadian executives recently acquired U.S.-based Bell & Howell Ltd's Document Management Division and are bringing the unit back to Canada. Bell & Howell had been in the process of closing its Canadian offices and consolidating its business units in the U.S. The new company, based in Toronto, will be known as DocuCom. The two principals, Raymond Patterson and Martin Mallot will serve as president and vice-president respectively. DocuCom will continue to market and service all Bell & Howell document management products. Mallot told Adnews that Bell & Howell did very little advertising in Canada in the past, but that DocuCom was looking at strengthening its marketing presence. However, he added that the company hasn't decided whether it will be looking for an agency yet. The Communications Group Inc. of Toronto, which had worked with Bell & Howell in the past, is handling DocuCom's PR.
