Ad Standards of Toronto has introduced an updated version of its “Preclearance” checkmark logo. The logo is intended to communicate to consumers in digital, video and print formats that an ad or informational message has been vetted by Ad Standards Clearance Services. The redesign was conducted in collaboration with Anderson DDB Health & Lifestyle. The modifications are intended to make the symbol more flexible in various forms of media. Advertisers can place the mark in the top left corner of online banners, which will link to a website desceibing the ad’s compliance with the rules, guidelines, codes, laws and policies for specific product categories.
