Vans begins Foot The Bill promotion

Footwear brand Vans has begun a promotion called “Foot The Bill” intended to support small businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. The promotion is particularly aimed at skateboard stores and surf shops, as well as restaurants, music venues and other community spaces. During the effort, the brand will offer custom-made designs for sale online at <http://vans.ca/footthebill>. The proceeds being donated to 80 participating businesses internationally. Each design is based on a pattern submitted by a participating business. Consumers can further customize their shoes with other color, print and material combinations. A limited edition of 500 pairs of shoes will be produced for each participant. The promotion is taking place in Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Korea, Spain, the Netherlands, the United States and the United Kingdom.
“Now, more than ever, it’s important to support the people that provide spaces for communities around the world to be creative and come together,” said Steve Van Doren, vice-president of events and promotions at Vans. “We were once a small business and wouldn’t be where we are today without the support of these partners. We hope to rally together with our consumers to lend a helping hand to those that are in need.”
