Accenture sponsors Women in Communications and Technology

Management consultant company Accenture has signed a national sponsorship agreement with Women in Communications and Technology of Ottawa. Through this sponsorship, the company will support the organization's work to reduce the employment gender gap in digital industries. In addition, Accenture staff will receive access to the organization's range of professional development, networking and mentorship programs. Also, Caroline Gayle, a managing director at Accenture, will join the group's board of directors.

"We're pleased to support WCT and their programs to advance women, which is aligned with our global goal of reaching a 50/50 gender-balanced workforce by 2025," said Claudia Thompson, also a managing director at Accenture. "A partnership with WCT enables our employees to access high-quality professional development and networking opportunities across Canada, which in turn will help Accenture meet our diversity and inclusion goals."
