Staples Canada begins rebranding effort

Office supply retail chain Staples Canada has undertaken a rebranding initiative intended to present the company as the "Working and Learning Company." The effort includes a new logo and other related brand materials. To coincide with the rebranding, Staples Canada has opened a new concept store in Kirkland, QC that makes use of a new retail layout intended to encourage consumer interaction. A second concept store will open in Toronto in January that will feature a consumer work area called Staples Studio, as well as a cafe. The new locations will also host a speaker series, product demonstrations and professional networking events.

"The way people work and live is changing in profound ways and Staples Canada is adapting to help our customers work, learn and grow," said David Boone, CEO of Staples Canada. "We spoke to thousands of entrepreneurs, teachers, students and parents to gain insights on what we could do to better suit their needs, and we're delivering a solution unique to Canada. Every decision we make is driven by thinking differently about the needs of our customers."
