DAIRY FARMERS DEBUT FOUR CHEESY ADS
By Adnews Staff
The Dairy Farmers of Canada will use a quartet of new television ads to try to sell viewers on the merits of cheese as an easy-to-prepare snack. The ads, two in French and two in English, were created by Cossette Communication-Marketing of Montreal. They will air from January 19 until April 24 during the Sunday night movie on CTV and TVA. The English-language ads feature a pair of humorous Cheesy Moments, specifically a cheesy lounge singer and a cheesy beauty queen, over top of which are superimposed quick guides to making cheese snacks. The French-language spots feature a woman who wallpapers over her dog while distracted by a romantic movie on TV and a woman who botches the haircut she is giving her spouse while the two of them are engrossed by a horror flick. Once again, the action is obscured by superimposed cheese snack construction tips.
