Webnames.ca debuts real estate domain names

Vancouver-based internet domain name registrar Webnames.ca has begun Canadian pre-orders of a new top-level domain aimed at real estate businesses. The ".realestate" domain will official become available on Nov. 26. Pre-ordered names will be held by the company in the order in which they were requested, then officially submitted when the registry opens.
"[This] is going to be an effective marketing tool for helping realtors and other real estate professionals such as property developers, brokers, assessors and analysts reach their target audiences, be they buyers, sellers or investors," said Cybele Negris, CEO of Webnames.ca. "There are more than 120,000 registered realtors in Canada, never mind all the other related professionals and verticals. In a hyper competitive industry, a descriptive and easy to remember web address can help you stand out against the pack."
