DELL DELIVERS NEW MODELS
By Adnews Staff
U.S.-based Dell Corp. introduced three new models to its OptiPlex and Dell Dimension computer families last week. Available in North America, the models all carry Intel's new Pentium Processor with MMX technology, which is designed to run graphics-rich multimedia applications. The new Dell Dimension XPS M is targeted at small business and home office customers, while the new OptiPlex GXi and OptiPlex Gs are intended for corporate, government and education clients. The machines will use either a 166 MHz or 200 MHz chip with features such as integrated sound and video. Dell's also planning to include the MMX chip in its line of Latitude notebooks later this spring. In Canada, the new models were all rolled into Dell's ongoing national print campaign last week.
