Loblaw, Esso form loyalty program agreement

Loblaw Companies has formed an agreement with Imperial Oil by which consumers will be able to accumulate PC Optimum loyalty points for purchases at Esso gas stations nationally. Participants in the PC Optimum program will receive 10 points for each litre of fuel purchases and for each dollar spent on eligible convenience store purchases or car washes. Consumers using a President's Choice Financial Mastercard will receive additional points.
"There are currently close to 13 million Canadians participating in the PC Optimum program that come to us expecting exceptional convenience and value," said Jim Noteboom, senior vice-president of loyalty at Loblaw. "The addition of the Esso and Mobil brands to the program provides a powerful earning opportunity for our members, with more than 4,500 locations across the country now awarding points."
