UPS TO SPONSOR NEXT OLYMPICS

U.S.-based United Parcel Service Ltd. has expanded its relationship with the Olympics. The courier company will sponsor the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan and the 2000 Summer Games in Sydney, Australia. UPS Canada promoted its sponsorship of the 1996 Centennial Olympics by hosting customer hospitality events before and during the games, developed customer promotions offering trips to the Olympics, and sponsored Canada's gold medal winning 4 X 100 men's relay team. The sponsorship of the Nagano and Sydney games will support the company's expansion in the Asia-Pacific region
