SkipTheDishes conducts Valentine's Day promotion
Winnipeg-based online food delivery service SkipTheDishes conducted a Valentine's Day promotion today. Using order-related data from its customers, the company sent handwritten cards to a number of its most frequent users. The mailings were timed to arrive on Valentine's Day. The cards contained copy such as Hope you get as many extra pickles as your heart desires," and "On a day like today, you're smart to hold off on the onions." The mailings also contained coupons for a discount on a future order.
"Our marketing team scooped out some tasty morsels about our customers' delivery habits," said Kendall Bishop, North American director of marketing at SkipTheDishes. "That helped us write some sweet messages that got their attention and demonstrated that Skip knows and cares about their preferences."
