Tim Hortons readies Seattle soccer promotion

Tim Hortons is preparing a promotion in Seattle, WA tied to the recent win of the Toronto FC in the Major League Soccer championship game. According to the company, it will offer free cups of coffee to residents of the city as a friendly gesture following the loss of the Seattle Sounders. The coffee will be distributed by a branded truck in the city on Dec. 18. The initiative will be supported with social media activities.
"With the world more divided than ever, we thought this was the perfect opportunity to put competition aside and extend a cup to our neighbours to the south," said Sami Siddiqui, president of Tim Hortons Canada. "We know the only real win is when we all win, so we're thrilled to share some love and a taste of Canada with our friends in Seattle."
