Workplace Safety & Insurance Board begins student contest

The Toronto-based Workplace Safety & Insurance Board has begun a new contest promotion called "It's Your Job." The contest invites students in Ontario to submit two-minute videos on the subject of workplace safety. Three winning entries will receive cash prizes for themselves and their schools. The fourth annual contest is being conducted in association with the Ontario Ministry of Labour.
"This contest is a creative way to get students in Ontario focused on health and safety and help them understand how to identify unsafe workplace scenarios," said Elizabeth Witmer, chair of the board. "When students have the knowledge, they can also have the confidence to ask questions, speak up and become active participants to help make their workplaces safer."
