Canadian Pacific conducts Holiday Train promotion

Calgary-based railway company Canadian Pacific has begun a traveling promotion intended to raise awareness of and funds for hunger issues in North America. Called the "CP Holiday Train," the initiative consists of a branded and illuminated train that will travel to a series of special events in Canada and the United States. The free concerts along the route will gather donations for participating food banks. The promotion includes an online tracker at <http://www.cpr.ca/holiday-train> with which user can follow the progress of the tour. It will also make use of social media activities and online videos.
"The 'Holiday Train' program is all about local food banks and food shelves and the critical role they play in our communities," said Keith Creel, president and CEO of CP. "People come for the beautifully-lit train and stay for the incredible show, all in the name of community. The holiday season is the best time of the year, and we look forward to bringing together thousands of Canadians and Americans this season for this incredibly important cause and a great time."
