New chief marketing officer at Canadian Pacific

Calgary-based railway company Canadian Pacific has promoted John Brooks to the position of senior vice-president and chief marketing officer. He will be responsible for CP's business units and its sales and marketing staff. Brooks joined the company in 2013, handling merchandise and bulk portfolios. He was vice-president of marketing at the Dakota, Minnesota and Eastern Railroad prior to it being acquired by CP in 2007. Brooks has also worked at Union Pacific and I&M Rail Link.
