Postmedia redesigns Sun websites, apps

Toronto-based Postmedia Network has released a series of new mobile applications and websites for its Sun newspaper properties in Ottawa, Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary and Edmonton. The new digital editions are intended to provide an improved user experience and a better presentation of their local news, sports and politics content. The websites and applications make use of a responsive design that adjusts to desktop, tablet and smartphone displays. Advertising options for these properties include consistent ad sizes across devices, contextual advertising and other enchancements. The redesign will be promoted with a marketing campaign developed in-house by Postmedia.
"We're focusing on what our readers love most about their Sun brands, great sports, opinion and local news, while leveraging technologies to enhance the overall user experience and celebrating the strong relationship we have with our loyal audiences," said James Wallace, editorial vice-president for the Sun. "Another exciting feature is the reintroduction of commenting allowing for robust dialogue and greater sharing options."
