Knight to depart St. Joseph Media

Douglas Knight will retire from the position of president at Toronto-based St. Joseph Media on July. He has held this position since 2006. Prior to that, he was the founding chair of US-based ImpreMedia, which operates a chain of Spanish-language newspapers in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. From 1997 to 2000, Knight was the publisher and CEO of the Toronto Sun. Before that, he spent 20 years at The Financial Post, culminating in the position of publisher and CEO.
"Doug Knight is an innovator and a leader," said Tony Gagliano, executive chairman and CEO of St. Joseph Communications. "He has built an incredibly strong team in our media group, who will continue to build and grow and innovate. The team will report to me through this period of transition. We are grateful for the 10 years Doug led our media team and wish him the very best as he charts his next chapter."
