Penningtons begins Powersongs against Prejudice campaign

Women's apparel retail chain Penningtons has begun a social media campaign called "Powersongs against Prejudice." Developed by Lg2 of Montreal, the campaign consists of an online video featuring Akira Armstrong, founder of the dance company Pretty Big Movement. According to the company, the campaign is intended to counter social prejudices directed at plus-size women.

"Our goal with this video is to encourage all the Akiras of the world to persevere and follow their passions and dreams," said François Sauvé, vice-president of creation at Lg2. "We want plus-size women to overcome the prejudice they face so that they can live their lives to the fullest."
