New president at Stephen Thomas

Toronto-based Stephen Thomas has promoted Paula Attfield to the position of president. She will be responsible for internal operations including production, human resources, administration and finance. Outgoing president Neil Gallaiford remains CEO of the agency. Attfield was most recently an executive vice-president. She joined the agency in 2006 as a senior account director. She later became vice-president of operations and then vice-president.

Bryan Tenenhouse has been promoted to executive vice-president and chief creative officer. He joined the agency in 2009 as vice-president and chief creative officer. Prior to that, he was a vice-president and creative director at DraftFCB. Tenenhouse has also been executive vice-president and chief creative officer at Draft Canada, senior vice-president and creative director at Vickers & Benson Direct and Interactive, and vice-president and associate creative director at Wunderman. He has also worked at Ogilvy One, Interwood Marketing and Carswell Publications. He is also president and chief creative officer of his own firm called The Tenenhouse project.

"I'm going to retain oversight of long term initiatives and strategic deliverables that contribute at a high level towards the sustainability of ST," said Gallaiford. "However, as we expand our presence in the US, we're going to need some sustained high-level attention to define the kind of expansion we're going to pursue and to manage the particularities of doing business in the US."
