WOLF SNAGS THREE NEW PIECES OF BUSINESS

Toronto-based Wolf Group has sunk its teeth into three new accounts. The agency has won the North American business of PSC Inc. and Getinge Castle, both of Rochester, New York, and CD&L of New Jersey. The PSC PR and advertising account was given to Wolf last month after the company spoke with several other agencies. This is the first time PSC has hired an agency for PR. It did so because PSC bought Spectral Physics of Oregon earlier this year, which doubled the size of PSC, Wolf Campbell Public Relations president Michael Campbell told Adnews last week. The company was using agencies on a project basis, but wanted to give its programs a more consistent message. Next year, PSC will launch trade advertising in Canada for the first time. It is doing so because of PSC's growth. PSC makes bar code scanning equipment for industrial and retail use. Getinge Castle gave its North American account to Wolf last month in a competition with three or four other agencies. Getinge Castle was formed earlier this year when Getinge of Sweden bought Castle of Rochester. Castle used to use an agency in New Jersey, but switched to Wolf once the company's restructuring was completed. Getinge Castle makes hospital equipment. CD&L is using an agency for the first time. The year-and-a-half old company decided to hire an agency now because it has made several acquisitions, and its owners felt the company had grown to the point where it would need help from an agency. CD&L is a courier company operating in the U.S.
