RADIO ADS FIT FOR DOGS

FTI Foodtech International Inc. of Toronto has launched a radio ad campaign in the Toronto market to support its line of MAXI TREAT pet products. The 30-second spots, which began earlier this month, will run until late December. The MAXI TREAT product line includes all-natural liver treats for dog obedience training and all-natural dog biscuits, as well as catnip, catnip pouches and catnip cookies for cats. The ads, which were produced in-house, include a write-in or phone-in offer for a MAXI TREAT booklet called "12 Quick and Easy Tips for Training Your Dog." The company launched TV ads promoting the product line in Ontario's Niagara region earlier this year. MAXI TREAT is also advertised in pet trade magazines and an assistant veterinary paper. FTI president Bill Hullah told Adnews the company began increasing its advertising presence this year in order to boost sales in a competitive market. The MAXI TREAT line is sold at a variety of pet stores across the country.
