Canadian Tire readies Olympics campaign

Canadian Tire will break a new Olympics-themed advertising campaign on July 15. The effort will be an extension of the company's ongoing "We All Play for Canada" campaign. The first of the new creative is a television commercial called "Pedestal" that is intended to highlight "Canadian values like sportsmanship and selflessness." A 60-second version of the ad will debut during the opening ceremonies of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Additional commercials will be released during the Olympics and Paralympics. The campaign will also include sponsored segments during coverage of the games by CBC and Radio-Canada.
