Burt's Bees unveils bee mural in Toronto

Health and beauty products company Burt's Bees Canada has installed a mural in downtown Toronto intended to raise awareness of bee health. The unveiling of the mural is timed to coincide with National Pollinator week. The mural, created by street artist Nick Sweetman, features the green sweat bee, which is native to Toronto.

"[Company founder Burt Shavitz] passed away last July, but we continue to honour him by connecting people to nature and helping them discover the wonder of bees and all they produce," said Carolyn Hungate, marketing manager at Burt's Bees Canada. "Bees have always been central to our products, our culture and the impact that we can have as a business in both the community and in the world. We hope this mural will serve as a long lasting reminder of the important role not just green sweat bees but all bees play in our lives."
